Delete your data

You own your data. Here are your options for removing it from Life Companion, whichever applies to you.

If you never signed in

Your data only lives on your device. To delete it:

• On the device: Uninstall Life Companion, or open Settings → Export & Reset → Delete all data.

If you enabled cloud sync

Your data is replicated to our Supabase backend so it can sync across your devices. To permanently delete everything:

• Open the app → Settings → Account → Delete account. (If this option isn't yet available in your build, use the email path below.)
• Or email support@d-tailed.com from the address you signed up with. We verify and remove within 30 days, usually within 72 hours.

What gets deleted

• Your user account (authentication record).
• All journal entries, tasks, notes, habits, mood entries, life areas, reviews, and insight cards associated with your account.
• All sync metadata and backup history on our servers.

What we retain (and why)

• Nothing personal. We keep no anonymised analytics, behavioural aggregates, or cached responses.
• If a payment was made through Google Play, Google retains a transaction record (not us). You can delete that through your Google account.

Timeline

We process deletion requests within 30 days. Most are done within 72 hours of verification. The on-device data is gone the moment you uninstall or tap "Delete all data" — instantly.
